What is my Authentics floor made of?


All our Authentics floors are 8 mm thick and composed of 5 distinct layers:


  1. High performance wear layer  Three protective (0.55 mm) layers for wear-resistance
  2. Decor film  Indistinguishable from real wood or stone
  3. Comfort layer  Warm & quiet underfoot
  4. Sound Core®  Core with excellent sound reduction
  5. Attached cork underlayment  The most sustainable solution

Cork: a game changer in sustainable flooring


Coretec® floors feature an attached cork underlay. Sourced from cork oak, which can be harvested every 10 years without harming the tree, cork is one of the most sustainable materials available. In addition, cork has numerous practical benefits: it provides a warm surface underfoot, absorbs sound, hides imperfections from underlying surfaces, and offers natural protection against mould.

How do I install my Authentics floor?


Our floors are designed for simplicity. Thanks to the integrated click system, you can install Coretec® on any surface without glue, nails or additional subflooring. There’s no need for sanding, polishing, sealing or varnishing. Plus, our floors don’t require acclimatisation or a post-installation waiting period, so you can install and start living on your new floor the same day.
