From Inspiration to Innovation

Like most revolutionary ideas, we got our start by looking at things with a fresh, unbiased perspective.

Hoping to shake things up in the hard surface flooring market, we set out to create an entirely new category of unique and sustainable luxury vinyl floors featuring an innovative waterproof core and cork underlayment to reduce sounds and increase comfort. And in 2012, we succeeded.

Introducing COREtec Floors

COREtec was the first brand to sell 100% waterproof floors - which quickly became (and remain) the most in-demand hard surface flooring option for their extreme durability, realistic designs and textures, simple installation and easy cleaning.

In 2015, COREtec received its first product patent for our 100% waterproof, kidproof, petproof core featured on our Originals collection.

COREtec Joins Shaw Industries

In 2016, Shaw Industries acquired COREtec, adding us to its portfolio of top-voted flooring brands.

By combining COREtec's innovative spirit and product strength with the power of Shaw's manufacturing expertise and robust distribution network, COREtec became the industry's first hard surface consumer flooring brand in 2017.
